About Gurudev

A life devoted to human upliftment.

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji is a humanitarian leader, spiritual teacher and founder of The Art of Living — one of the world's largest volunteer-based educational and humanitarian non-governmental organisations.

For more than forty-five years, his teachings have reached people across the world — offering practical wisdom, breathing techniques and meditation that bring calm, clarity and purpose to everyday life.

Through the Art of Living Foundation, the International Association for Human Values, Sri Sri University and the Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir Trust, Gurudev's work extends into education, rural development, disaster relief, peace-building and the cultural heritage of India.

"Truth is simple. It is only the complication in our minds that makes it appear complex." — Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji

Our connection

A bond that shapes our values.

At Padmashri Group, Gurudev's teachings are not a distant inspiration — they are a living presence in how we lead and how we serve.

Our Director, Varsha Agarwal, is a certified Art of Living teacher and a long-time devotee of Gurudev. Through her initiative, meditation and wellness programmes are conducted regularly for the Padmashri Group family and the wider community.

His teachings have shaped how we treat colleagues, partners and customers — with care, clarity and a commitment to lasting relationships.

"Life is a celebration. Live every moment with awareness, love and joy."

Organisations we support

Beyond Gurudev, three initiatives close to our family.

We are supporters and facilitators of the following organisations founded by Gurudev. Padmashri Group is not an operator — details, programmes and schedules are managed by the respective organisations directly.

A volunteer-based humanitarian organisation founded by Gurudev in 1981, offering breath-based wellness programmes, meditation courses and community service initiatives across 180+ countries. Programmes are conducted in Siliguri by our Director Varsha Agarwal — a certified Art of Living teacher.
